Chattogram Challengers in BPL 2024
The next edition of BPL, the most anticipated T20 tournament in Bangladesh local arena of cricket, will be started on January 6, 2024. The player’s draft has already been completed where the franchises taking part in this edition have picked their favorite players through auction and Chattogram Challengers was no different there as they almost gave their full efforts to build up a strong team this time.
So far, in players draft the franchises selected players in two distinct categories. The categories are as follows:
– Retain: This means the player who appeared in last season, will also attend this season as they did not change team and the franchise retained them.
– Direct Contract: In this category, the franchise offer direct contract or signed directly some allocated players.
Apar from these twos, there are still chances to add more players as we see in earlier editions where many players either join or withdraw themselves from BPL, making prior changes on existing squad of a certain franchise.
Challengers Retained Players in BPL 2024
Chattogram Challengers retained local cricketer Shuvagata Hom Chowdhury, Nihaduzzaman and Ziaur Rahman. These three players played for the Challengers in last edition of BPL and will do the same this time as well.
Chattogram’s Player List: Direct Contract
This time in players draft, the Challengers offered direct contract to so far six players. They are- Sohidul islam, Nazibullah Zadran, Mohammad Hasnain, Muhammad Haris, Stephen Eskinazi and Curtis Campher. So, there are several players from different parts of the world like from Pakistan, Afghanistan, England and even South African-Irish cricketer like Curtis Campher.

About Bangladesh Premier League 2024
– 2024 BPL will be started from January 6, 2024 and will be continued till February 17 of the same year
– There will be seven teams in total playing for the trophy
– Total 46 matches will be played between the teams
– The tournament will be on Double round-robin format followed by playoffs
